Greenville Wedding Photographer : Bridals : Megan

Happy 2012, everyone!  I hope your year is getting off to a downright spectacular start.  My year is getting kicked off with a super fun detox...nothing but lean protein and veggies for me for a couple of weeks.  So just be aware that I might not finish this blog post on account of chewing off my own hand.  True story.

I'm working on getting my goals for this new year and getting a big, beautiful, high accountability blog post up and running, but in the interim, please enjoy these images of the lovely new Mrs. Megan Bennett, who got married on New Years Eve.  When we were planning out her bridal session, Megan said she definitely wanted somewhere with drama.  I think this view covers that concept pretty well, no?

Good grief, Megan...YOU ARE SO GORGEOUS!

Give me angles!  Now smize!

For our last few frames, Megan completely made my life and pulled out this fascinator hat.  And it looked amazing.  And I wanted to be British so that I could see those suckers at every wedding I go to.

This last image is one of my favorites that I've ever shot.  No lie.

Cliffs At Glassy Wedding : Marissa's Bridals

I want a dress like this one so that I can swoosh all over the place like Marissa is in so many of these pictures.  As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure if I did have a dress, swooshing around would be pretty much all I did.  So maybe I shouldn't have a swooshy dress because in addition to not being very conducive to getting work done, I'm pretty sure it would also keep Hallie in a permanent state of terror.

That being said, I think we can agree that Marissa looks pretty stunning swooshing about in her dress, no?

We actually started out inside the beautiful Cliffs At Glassy chapel...love this one!

Reynold's Plantation Wedding : Mattie's Bridals

It's very rare that my trips out of town happen without some form of misadventure.  My jaunt down to Greensboro, GA for Mattie's bridal session was no exception.  My mom was good enough to ride with me, and we actually made it to our destination early and without incident.  As the shoot went on and was close to wrapping up, we were feeling pretty good about ourselves and our ability to travel like the awesome independent women we are.  Then it was time to head home...and it happened.  Somehow, in the excitement of Mattie being all beautiful we managed to completely overlook the fact that we were apparently in the deer capital of America.  And we were going to have to drive 3+ hours, in the dark, surrounded by them.  Oh, and it had started to rain ever so slightly.

Now, maybe you don't live somewhere that this is a problem, but in my general vicinity deer + dark + damp can mean a messed up front of your car.  And both myself and my mom have a very healthy sense of paranoia about the whole thing.  So what do we do?  Why, drive down the middle of the road honking the horn at random intervals, of course!  Mercifully, we really were pretty much alone, but I'm pretty sure that the few houses we drove past did not enjoy our performance.  So, ummm...sorry denizens of Highway 44 in Georgia.  Didn't mean to freak you out.  But I'm pretty sure you'll agree that these photos were TOTALLY worth it...

This first location is actually a private residence.  My mom and I were both hoping that the owners would want to adopt us, but thus far it hasn't happened.

Seriously, be just a little cuter, Mattie.  :-)

Mattie, there are no words.  Except that I love you!

Greenville Wedding Photographer : Bridals : Kayla

Well, happy Halloween, Steven's birthday, Thanksgiving, and my birthday everyone!  I think that should pretty much cover the bases since it has been well over a month since I last logged in here.  I'd be lying if I said that life has been anything other than pandemonium over the last few weeks.  Wonderful, beautiful pandemonium, but madness nonetheless.  Steven and I have found a way to magically ensure that all of our busy weeks with our respective jobs overlap with the other's so that we can spend entire weeks of time as overworked zombies together.  And they say romance dies once you get married!  :-)

Enough of that drivel though, and let's see if I can't deviate from my routine and get caught up!  I thought I'd start things off by blogging some of the beautiful brides I've had the privledge of documenting.  Kayla and I met up at Furman for her bridal session...

Kayla, I think you epitomize bridal radiance.  For real...you are stunning!

Kayla can work a smolder like no one else.  Seriously.

Greenville Wedding Photographer : Bridal : Jessica

Oh yes...I am actually doing Monday's intended blog post on...MONDAY!  I know how you must be feeling.  I'm not really sure how to handle it either, folks.  Steven, I might need to be held and rocked when you get home.  Just sayin'.

Also, since I'm on a bit of a crazy dog lady kick lately, let me just take a second to discuss the all new level of spoiled that my sweet Hallie has achieved in recent days.  Steven originally got her as a rescue puppy.  She was tiny and terrified.  Now, I'm pretty sure I am raising a celebutante in the body of a German Shepard mix.  Her specialty is sneaking up onto the couch (which is supposed to be a fur free zone) and then looking at us like, "What?  I thought I was supposed to be here...family time, right guys?".  She periodically steals my lunch and somehow manages to make me feel bad if I dare scold her.  Oh, and her grooming appointments?  When we schedule them, we are instructed to drop her off at the DAY SPA!  I don't get to go to the day spa!  Seriously, I'm pretty sure if she weren't such a cute little furball, I would ardently dislike her...but look at this face!

Okay, enough weird dogladyness for one day, onto one gorgeous bride!  Jessica and Zack said "I do" on Saturday, so I am beyond excited to show you a few favorites from her bridal session...

Irrefutable proof that I'm hilarious...

Jessica, you are so incredibly beautiful.  There are no words...
